Tacoma Gets 3-1 Win
|
Hurler Cipriano García gave the Tacoma Fur Traders a solid start. The native of Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego helped his team defeat the Casper Ghosts, 3-1, at The Graveyard. Tacoma has a record of 10-8.
Kazuki Kodama, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AA with a .623 slugging percentage, took Casper hurler Bryan Wallace deep in the top of the second. His 2-run home run put the Fur Traders on top, 2-0. In all, Kodama had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
Kodama called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
