Fans who congregated at Ballpark of Tacoma were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Virginia Beach Whales racked up a win at Ballpark of Tacoma, bumping off the Tacoma Fur Traders, 5-2, in 11 innings. Barry St. John, who started for Virginia Beach, pitched effectively for his team. Virginia Beach is now 7-16, Tacoma 11-12.

Corey Browning drew 1 walk against the Fur Traders. With the game tied in the top of the 11th inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Virginia Beach in front, 3-2.

"We didn't let this one get away," said Browning.
