Fur Traders Walk It Off for 13th Win of Season
The Tacoma Fur Traders beat the Virginia Beach Whales, 6-4, at Ballpark of Tacoma. The win was due in part to designated hitter William Johnson, who went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to 21-year old left-handed pitcher Ed Cook in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Desi Riley took the loss. Tacoma's record now stands at 13-10, placing them 5th in the Menard's AA.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Johnson hit a fastball from Desi Riley for a 2-run home run. The Fur Traders, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"What a buzz," said Johnson after it was over.
