The Tacoma Fur Traders picked up a win at Ballpark of Tacoma, topping the Lancaster Farmers, 4-2. On the mound for Tacoma was right-hander Whitney Westcott. He played a principal role in the triumph. Westcott got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 8 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Joe Burkett earned the save, his 3rd, for the Fur Traders.

In the bottom of the first inning, third baseman Todd Davis had a grand slam home run for Tacoma. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Fur Traders on top, 4-0.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Westcott.

Tacoma is now 13-12.
