In a tight contest between the Minnesota Loons and the Richland Rails, William Edwards was the determining factor. The Minnesota right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-1 win. The Loons, at 18-8, lead by one game in their division.
Minnesota used a clutch hit from Sin-young Yi to get the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Loons ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Edwards said.
