Getting offensive support from Gjelt Willems, the Richland Rails topped the Tacoma Fur Traders, 4-1. Willems went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Rails. Ben Vincent wrapped it up, recording his 7th save.

Early in the game, Willems had a 2-run home run for Richland. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Rails on top, 2-0.

Richland manager Ludovic Fontaine praised his team's "energy."
