Toledo Saboteurs starter Igor Plomp found his groove in his team's 5-3 win over the Tacoma Fur Traders. After today's action, Toledo sits at 18-11, while Tacoma falls to 16-13.

The Fur Traders had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Saboteurs going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old center fielder Jorge Cruz came to the plate. Cruz hit a 2-run home run on a 2-2 fastball from Tacoma hurler Jorge Santana. It was Cruz's 4th home run of the year.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Toledo manager Marc MacAuliffe.
