Hoong Plays Big Role in Toronto Win
Colorado had no answer for Toronto Thunder starter Chih Hoong, who flummoxed Billy Goats hitters as the Thunder cruised to victory, 9-0. The first-place Thunder improved to 44-28.

Hoong, who dominated for Toronto, earned the victory to move to 6-5. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5. Colorado batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

Said losing manager Mack Kilkeary: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
