Vancouver Collects 5-4 Win
|
Buffalo second baseman Kyung-chul Son had a good game, even if his team did not. The White Walkers dropped a 5-4 decision to Vancouver at Beyond the Wall. Son hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Félix González, who is tied for 3rd in the PL in holds with 6, nailed down the save. With the win, Vancouver goes to 37-35, while the White Walkers fall to 42-30.
Vancouver used a well-timed hit by Alberto Montés to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Grey Wolves ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Vancouver manager David Krause commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
