The Richland Rails outclassed the Virginia Beach Whales, 10-2, at Virginia Beach Grounds. Blake Graham was a major contributor for Richland. Graham was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Claudio Luna, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

Brad Whitehead was 1-2 with 3 walks, while scoring 2 times for Richland. The 25-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Barry St. John. It was his 11th walk of the season.

"Not my idea of a good time," Virginia Beach manager Marv Bradford said, when asked afterward about the game.

At 24-13, the Rails find themselves in third place in the Menard's AA.
