Rails Lose to Lancaster, 5-2
|
Lancaster turned a good effort from starter Jeff Ricks into a win over the Richland Rails at Rails Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. Ahamyati Tikku closed out the game, earning his 5th save. The win makes Lancaster 21-20.
The Farmers got an important contribution from first baseman Peyton Cummings, who in the top of the fifth knocked a 0-1 changeup to left-center for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Farmers ahead, 4-0.
"Jeff gave us a heck of an effort," said Lancaster manager Young-hwan Hyon.
