The Richland Rails had no problem beating the Westwood Sixshooters, 12-3, at Sixshooters Stadium. Gjelt Willems led the way. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Richland. Ben Griffin earned the win for Richland. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 2-0. The Rails now have a record of 31-17 with the win over Westwood.

With Richland leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Willems hit a fastball from Joe Smith for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Rails ahead, 4-0.
