Fur Traders Suffer 3-1 Loss to Sixshooters
|
The Westwood Sixshooters, despite a fine performance by Tacoma pitcher Raph Liberato, grabbed a 3-1 win at Sixshooters Stadium. Liberato allowed 2 runs over 6 innings. The winning pitcher was Justin MacBurie. He's now 4-3. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 10 hits for the Sixshooters. Manny Rodríguez earned the save for Westwood, his 8th of the year.
Hawk Tuahsson had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Westwood. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Westwood in front, 3-1.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Tacoma manager Jeff Rutherford. "Obviously."
Westwood has 3 straight wins, Tacoma 5 straight losses.
