The Tacoma Fur Traders weathered a fine game by Pine Island right fielder Jon Turner to upend the Dolphins, 4-3, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Turner went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Rod Pierce, the winning pitcher, is now 1-0. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 2. The Dolphins, at 20-30, have lost 5 straight games.

Todd Davis, who is tied for 5th in the 3AA in triples with 2, helped out the Tacoma cause in the bottom of the first inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
