Rails Mow Down Eclipse, 10-0
|
The Richland Rails got a stellar performance from pitcher Richard Stevenson, who handcuffed the Northville offense en route to a win, 10-0, at Rails Ballpark. Stevenson got the win, improving to 6-1. He gave up 1 hit and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Richland is now 36-18, Northville 29-25.
The Rails got an important contribution from left fielder Zhong-qi Hou, who in the bottom of the seventh hit a fastball to right-center for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Rails ahead, 8-0.
"Nothing to write home about," Northville manager Daniel Katz said, when asked afterward about the game.
