Frost Swings Rails to 9-8 Win
The Graveyard was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Richland Rails and Casper Ghosts.

In a tight contest at The Graveyard, the Richland Rails edged the Casper Ghosts by the score of 9-8. Richland center fielder Troy Frost, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The winner in relief was Allan Lawrence. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings.

Richland used a timely hit from Kyle Nelson to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rails ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Casper manager Jerry Duke. "But we decided not to take it."

The first-place Rails have a record of 39-18.
