Lancaster Farmers starter Benny Carr turned in an exceptional performance against the Richland Rails at Farmers Field, resulting in a Lancaster win, 2-1. Lancaster reliever Wazir Arif picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Tony Powell absorbed the loss. Eugene Brewer earned the save for Lancaster, his 5th.

Lancaster took a 2-1 lead on Vincent Jacobs's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Jacobs hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Richland pitcher Tony Powell visibly frustrated.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Jacobs said after the game.

The Farmers move to 36-26 with the win, while the Rails drop to 39-23.
