Manuel Bernal, who is tied for 9th in the PL in wins with 7, never let the Voodoo get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Rocketeers to a win, 4-1. The 7th-place Rocketeers have a record of 38-38.

Bernal allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7.1 innings for the Rocketeers. He walked 2 and struck out 5.

"Manuel gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Seattle skipper Andrew Powell.
