The Richland Rails stormed past the Virginia Beach Whales, 15-3, at Virginia Beach Grounds. Richland third basemanJacob Pugh , who leads the 3AA in RBI with 58, led the hit parade. He went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. At 49-29, the Rails have a slim two-game lead in the Menard's AA.

Richland won the game in part because of Ying-hua Hung. The catcher ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Rails ahead, 3-0. For the game, Hung had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Virginia Beach manager Marv Bradford.
