Rails Walk It Off for 44th Win of Season
Melchor Palangan was a vital contributor to the 11-10 Richland victory over Gwinnett. The Rails first baseman was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Richland reliever John McCall got the win, raising his record to 5-2. Ron Jewell was tagged with the loss. The win puts the Rails at 44-35, while the Guinea Pigs drop to 37-42.

Jacob Pugh was the walk-off hero for Richland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rails third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
