Whitney Westcott pitched a gem to lead Tacoma to victory over the Richland Rails, 4-0. With the win, Tacoma pushed its record to 44-44.

Tacoma used the hitting of Félix Hernández to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Fur Traders on top, 2-0. For the game, Hernández had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Makes our job easier," said Hernández, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
