Dave Jones, who is tied for 7th in the 3AA in quality starts with 11, propelled his team to victory over the Richland Rails. The final score was 4-3, Lancaster. Lancaster reliever Ahamyati Tikku picked up the win to move to 3-6. Ukko Markkanen suffered the loss. The Farmers sport a record of 31-60.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Bartolo Bode came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Richland pitcher Ukko Markkanen, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Lancaster on top, 3-2.
"I liked his command," said Lancaster manager Young-hwan Hyon. "Dave was throwing strikes."
