Westwood Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction

The Pine Island Dolphins took on the Westwood Sixshooters at Sixshooters Stadium.
The Pine Island Dolphins beat the Westwood Sixshooters, 4-1. Pine Island pitcher and Caldwell, Idaho, native Michael Ross led the way. The winning pitcher was Ross, now 6-5. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 5.
The Dolphins got an important contribution from third baseman David Ellison, who in the top of the third punched a full count fastball to right for a run-scoring double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Dolphins ahead, 1-0.
"It's still just a game," said Ross, "whether you win or lose."
The losing skid has reached 6 games for Westwood.
