Thomas Slugs Rails to 6-0 Win
|
Richland left fielder Don Thomas contributed significantly to his team's 6-0 win over the Westwood Sixshooters. Thomas went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Rails. Masato Rin was the winner. Over 8.2 innings, he yielded no runs on 4 hits, with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts. The Richland win streak is now 9 games.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Thomas hit a 3-run home run off Bobby Vaughn. It propelled the Rails into the lead, 3-0.
