The performance of Roger Miller proved critical in helping Squirrel Hill beat Philadelphia, 12-7. The Pierogis center fielder was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. The loss makes Philadelphia 4-3.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Pierogis grabbed the lead when Miller hit his 4th double of the season. The bases-clearing double off Michael Adkins made it 7-6, Squirrel Hill.
