The Asheville Highlanders beat the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 6-3. Asheville pitcher and Houston, Texas, native José Bojórquez led the way. In 5.1 innings, Bojórquez surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Gerald Sutton was credited with the save for Asheville, his 3rd of the season.
