MotorBoaters Pull Off Thrilling 3-2 Win in Extras
|
The Lake Murray MotorBoaters picked up a win at Heron Field, downing the Arizona Javelina, 3-2, in 11 innings. On the mound for Lake Murray was right-hander Martin Humphrey, who played a pivotal role in the win. Ismael Novian picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Pedro De Jesús was tagged with the loss. Lake Murray sits at 4-4.
The MotorBoaters relied on left fielder Hugh Kneecorn for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Ricky O'Toole.
