Larry Benjamin was instrumental in his team's 7-5 triumph over the St. Petersburg Thunder. The first baseman went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Philadelphia Liberty Academy. Paul Dunn, the winner, is now 1-0. He struck out 6 and walked 2 over 8 innings, while allowing 5 runs on 8 hits. Juan Zapata, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.
