Polar Bears Beat Fighting Imps, 2-1
Wayne Horne was terrific for the Billings Polar Bears in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Ithaca Fighting Imps. His performance earned Horne rave reviews. Horne, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 5 walks. Ithaca falls to 7-6.

Ramil Laygo had a big hit for Billings in the top of the fifth inning. With Billings leading 1-0, Laygo hit a run-scoring double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Polar Bears up, 2-0.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Jeffrey Lewis.
