Loons Take Nail-Biter Over Highlanders
In a well-pitched game between the Minnesota Loons and the Asheville Highlanders, pitcher Simon Grant was fantastic. The Minnesota right-hander helped his team secure the win, 1-0. Minnesota, now 10-6, has played well in the early going.

The Loons got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Jon Booker. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Loons.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Booker said after the game.
