Highlanders Defeat Mariachis, 4-3

The Asheville Highlanders took Luis Rojas's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Mariachi Band Shell. The final score had Asheville getting past the Mariachis, 4-3, in 10 innings. Rojas over 7 innings allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 7. The loss drops Nuevo Mexico to 11-7.
Asheville used the timely hitting of Bryan Williams to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Highlanders on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"There's no quit in this team," said Highlanders manager Pancho Campos.
