Polar Bears Lose as Liberty Academy Stage Late Rally
Billings third baseman Rafael Cruz was sensational. He was 3-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Philadelphia beat the Polar Bears, 13-9, in 10 innings. The Liberty Academy go to 9-13, putting them 9th in the Silver AA.

Philadelphia took advantage of an error in the top of the tenth inning. The game was tied, 8-8, when Millard MacKinney hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Liberty Academy in front, 9-8.

"Baseball is a wild game -- a crazy game, sometimes," said MacKinney.
