Polar Bears Get Better of Loons, 3-0
Billings turned a good effort from starter Carlos Ramos into a win over the Minnesota Loons at The Igloo. The final score was 3-0. Fernando Ortega picked up the save, his 1st. The first-place Polar Bears have a one-game lead in their division.

Tied up with the Loons in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Polar Bears got a boost from second baseman Hank Sutton. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Sutton saw a full count fastball from Daniel Shields and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Billings on top, 1-0.

"I was able to fill up the zone," said Ramos.
