The 3-hit performance of Chris Gillespie, who is tied for 7th in the SAA with a .400 on-base percentage, helped the Ithaca Fighting Imps beat the Barton Springs Blues, 8-2. At 13-10, the Fighting Imps find themselves in 5th place in the Silver AA.

Ithaca won the game in part because of Nacho Rodríguez. The first baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Fighting Imps ahead, 2-1. For the game, Rodríguez had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Barton Springs manager Cipriano Cereceres.
