Liberty Academy Earn Win with Late Rally
|
Philadelphia Liberty Academy starter Vicente Torres turned in a top-notch performance against the Lake Murray MotorBoaters at Heron Field. The result was a win for the Liberty Academy, 2-1. Jimmy Bailey snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 1.1 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season. Tanzan Jouda picked up his 5th save of the season.
Millard MacKinney had a direct impact on the outcome. MacKinney contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Philadelphia up, 2-1.
"Exhilarating win," said MacKinney.
The victory puts Philadelphia at 10-15.
