Starting Pitcher Phil Monroe was lights out, as the Lake Murray MotorBoaters beat the Philadelphia Liberty Academy, 3-1. Monroe picked up the win for Lake Murray, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Lake Murray is 14-13 and Philadelphia, with the loss, 11-16.
Ryan Hudson cracked a home run off Chet Cooper in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run blast put the MotorBoaters on top, 3-1. In all, Hudson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
