Blues Field was the site of a competitive game between the Barton Springs Blues and Minnesota Loons.

Minnesota right fielder Vicente Martínez played a vital role in his team's 5-3 conquest of Barton Springs. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Minnesota. Wilbert McCabe nailed down his 1st save.

It could have been a different outcome for Minnesota, had it not been for António Martínez, the 22-year old third baseman . Martínez contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put Minnesota up, 1-0.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Minnesota manager Calvin Beck.

The win gives Minnesota a season record of 17-11.
