A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks and Northville Eclipse.

In the 8-3 Ft. Polk South win over Northville, the impact of Bo Young was substantial. Young, who is tied for 3rd in the SAA in runs scored with 21, went 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Paul Montgomery earned the save for Ft. Polk South, his 1st.

Lloyd Rook cracked a home run off John McCarthy in the bottom of the first. His 2-run blast put the Thunder Hawks on top, 2-0. In all, Rook had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

Rook attributed the win to his team's "determination."

The Thunder Hawks are now 15-18, while the Eclipse fall to 19-14.
