Squirrel Hill Beats Philadelphia, 7-5
|
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis picked up a win at Field of the Rawhides, knocking off the Philadelphia Liberty Academy, 7-5. Starting pitcher Joe Hudson was a big reason why. Otis Farr closed it out for his 7th save. Squirrel Hill now sports a record of 23-16.
The Pierogis extended their lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two outs and the bases loaded, Bob Cole drew a walk, driving in 1 run to make it 5-3, Squirrel Hill.
"For the most part, I felt like I did a pretty good job with executing the pitches I was throwing," said Hudson.
