Parker Slugs Turbeaus to 11-6 Win
Gulf Coast center fielder Reginald Parker played a vital role in his team's 11-6 conquest of Minnesota. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Gulf Coast. Picking up the win was Wyatt Bell. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 1 and walked 1. Gulf Coast is now 23-21.

The Turbeaus got an important contribution from left fielder Scott Steiner, who in the bottom of the second hit a first pitch fastball to left-center for a grand slam home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Turbeaus ahead, 6-0.

Gulf Coast manager Neal Davis was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
