Guinea Pigs Grind Out 2-1 Win
Gwinnett Guinea Pigs starter Randy Pierce turned in a top-notch performance against the Squirrel Hill Pierogis at Field of the Rawhides. The result was a win for the Guinea Pigs, 2-1. The victory gives the Guinea Pigs a record of 32-26.

Alfredo Guevara, who is tied for 7th in the SAA in bases on balls with 32, had a direct impact on the outcome. Guevara contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Gwinnett up, 2-1.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Pierce.
