Blues Get Past Minnesota, 3-2

Barton Springs right-hander Richard Fernández helped his team edge Minnesota by the score of 3-2. Fernández kept the opposing lineup in check. Barton Springs reliever Aaron Arnold picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Taki Ohayashi absorbed the loss. The last-place Blues sport a record of 23-40.
It could have been a different outcome for Barton Springs, had it not been for Rob Allen, the 25-year old third baseman . Allen contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Barton Springs up, 3-2.
"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Minnesota manager Calvin Beck. "We just didn't cash in."
