The Asheville Highlanders topped the Minnesota Loons, 2-0, in USSL Double A action at Loony Bin. The game was highlighted by the performance of Asheville pitcher Luis Villarreal. Asheville raised its record to 37-27 with the win.

Asheville used the hitting of Jean-Jacques François Jacques-Jean to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Highlanders on top, 2-0. For the game, Jacques-Jean had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
