In a low-scoring contest between the Asheville Highlanders and the Minnesota Loons, Woody Adkins was the X factor. The Asheville left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Adkins picked up the win for Asheville, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Armando Hernández closed it out for his 5th save.
