Both teams had their chances, but the St. Petersburg Thunder eventually prevailed.

The St. Petersburg Thunder defeated the Philadelphia Liberty Academy, 4-3, in 10 innings in USSL Double A action at Baby Thunder Dome. St. Petersburg pitcher Jeremy Harris had a standout performance. Reliever Keith Greene picked up the win. His record improves to 6-6. Jacob Harrell took the loss.

The Thunder got a clutch hit from shortstop Billy García. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Thunder.

"Jeremy was in control from the top," said St. Petersburg manager Alejandro Mingo.

The third-place Liberty Academy dropped to 36-34.
