Fat Cats Snag 6-4 Win
The Ottawa Fat Cats had to overcome a fine effort from Virginia Beach pitcher Jim McKee to grab a narrow 6-4 win at Virginia Beach Grounds. McKee went 7 innings and allowed no runs. Dominique Leclère, 4-5, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. Ottawa goes to 34-37, Virginia Beach to 30-41.

Ottawa took a 5-4 lead on José Rodríguez's 10th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Rodríguez hit in the top of the eighth, left Virginia Beach pitcher Marcel Traas shaking his head.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Rodríguez told the Ottawa Herald.
