Starting pitcher Ánibal Ramos was a major factor in the 4-1 Philadelphia Liberty Academy triumph over the St. Petersburg Thunder. The third-place Liberty Academy now have a record of 37-34.

Philadelphia used a well-timed hit by Carlos Martínez to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Liberty Academy ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
