Heron Field was the site of a competitive game between the Arizona Javelina and Lake Murray MotorBoaters.

Arizona second baseman Dave Adams had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Adams was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Lake Murray beat the Javelina, 5-3. The winner in relief was Jesse Parker. He is now 2-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings.

Had Brad Skinner not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Skinner hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the MotorBoaters.

"We were the better team," crowed Skinner.
