|
Toichi Kodo was superb against Nuevo Mexico. The right-hander, who is tied for 6th in the SAA with a 2.54 ERA, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Cangrejos Fantasmas victory. The score was 6-4. The winning pitcher was Kodo, now 4-2. He tossed 6 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 9. After today's action, Chesapeake sits at 48-33; Nuevo Mexico slips to 50-31.
Helping the Chesapeake cause was Dustin Wallace. In the bottom of the fifth, the 23-year old third baseman had a run-scoring walk to make the score 3-1, Cangrejos Fantasmas.
