Guinea Pigs Win Squeaker, 7-6, Over Thunder
Fans who congregated at Experimental Stadium were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs wiggled past the St. Petersburg Thunder, 7-6, at Experimental Stadium. The win was highlighted by the performance of Gwinnett catcher Thom Guerra. Reliever Matt Griffin picked up the win. His record improves to 8-0. Esteban Aguilar took the loss.

The game came to a sudden end. In the bottom of the tenth, with two out, Guerra reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. It gave Gwinnett the 7-6 walk-off win.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Guerra. "I like it."

The third-place Guinea Pigs have won 5 in a row.
