The Toledo Saboteurs knocked off the Philadelphia Liberty Academy, 4-3, in USSL Double A action at Liberty Academy Field. Toledo pitcher and Stanton, California, native Arthur Tidwell had an outstanding performance. Tidwell yielded 3 runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-2. At 37-47, Toledo is in 8th place in the Silver AA.
Toledo took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Matt Nance hit a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Saboteurs.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Tidwell. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
