Getting offensive support from Tong-sik Yi, the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs topped the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 4-3. Yi slugged 2 home runs for the Guinea Pigs. Sean Long was the winner. Over 8 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Matt Griffin got the save, the 21st for him this season.

Bryan Rivers, who is tied for 10th in the SAA in RBI with 44, had a direct impact on the outcome. Rivers contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Gwinnett up, 2-1.
