Cangrejos Fantasmas Earn Late 7-6 Win
The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas weathered an outstanding game by Philadelphia designated hitter Vicente González to topple the Liberty Academy, 7-6. González went 2-2 with 2 singles, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs. Chesapeake reliever Britt Peck was the winner. His record is now 4-1. Tim Jones took the loss. Chesapeake, at 61-31, is 6 games up in the Silver AA.

Nicky Chamings came through with a big-time hit for Chesapeake. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Chesapeake manager John Moore.
