Squirrel Hill starter Joe Hudson pitched well against the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs at Experimental Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-7, in 10 innings. Otis Farr got credit for the save for Squirrel Hill. It was his 21st of the year. Squirrel Hill now sits at 48-45, while Gwinnett falls to 47-46.

Squirrel Hill used the timely hitting of Gilberto Padilla to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Pierogis on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Ben Cooper.
