Philadelphia shortstop Andre Cowan made his presence felt in the 9-6 Liberty Academy triumph over the Lake Murray MotorBoaters. Cowan was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Tanzan Jouda earned the save for Philadelphia, his 20th. Philadelphia, now 51-44, holds down 4th place in the Silver AA.

With Philadelphia leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Cowan came up to bat against Lake Murray pitcher Joseph Sankey. Cowan hit a fastball to right-center for a solo home run. His 9th home run of the season put the Liberty Academy on top, 3-1.
